i think if a Master has an integrity he wouldn't do that -- as it would take away consentuality.

It has nothing to do with right or wrong in my view for Master to change the contract. It has everything to do with trust, respect, responsibility and control. Master must show control of Himself by not agreeing to something He may not be able to live up to. That is a lack of self-control. This will lead to loss of respect from His servant and eventual loss of control of the situation, which leads to rebellion. The way around this is to write into the contract a clause for discussing terms of renewal effective at pre-determined intervals; say, 6 months or one year. At that time the contract may be renegotiated by each party, thus allowing Master to change the contract without losing face.

Absolutely not! While the Master may have the unspoken right to change things with his slave, to do so is to change the dynamic of what was their original relationship. Relationships change, we all know they do, but to unilaterally make the change or coerce the slave into accepting the change, is not only wrong, it is also a breach of the relationship,

The original agreement, or contract, is made to bind two people of equal bearing into roles for the relationship. It symbolizes the establishment of their roles and as such, requires all parties to agree to any alterations without coercion. The Master may not unilaterally change the agreement nor influence the slave into agreeing with the change.
