Brattiness

What does the term ‘brat’ mean to you?

  1. Brat. That’s a label isn’t it? It’s the same way that other things are labels — even Dominant and submissive and slave and all those descriptive nouns we give ourselves are labels.

Truth is, one person might say their submissive is a brat if he or she does something like, ooh, i don’t know, hide the flogger. Where one person would assume this form of bratty behavior as a playful challenge– someone else will absolutely be offended at it. That’s the thing about protocol — its a little bit different for everyone.

my Master is not one for a lot of formality. He likes to see my independence at most things. Because, there I am…taking charge…in class, at work…solving some big problem. Caring for sick patients. That sort of thing. It is because he knows that he’s the one who can have me on my knees, begging or any number of things…maybe with just that certain look.

But even enjoying that, he often says it would get kind of redundant (since i really do enjoy obediance) if i never challenged him — if i never teased back. It’s two different ideas though. Teasing and playing and Master’s reponse is all good natured. That’s being a brat to us.

But me, being defiant, rude or disrespectful — that’s another matter. It’s not being a brat. It’s cry that something’s off… instead of getting a spanking or anything like that for this … i’d most likely get a long conversation, where Master wants to know what what’s wrong.
